I love the what’s in my bag posts. I find it a clever way to find new bags, new configurations, or interesting items to carry. What a person chooses to carry is very revealing about them.  So here is my daily bag.

  • Olympus EM5mkii
  • Olympus 12-40mm 2.8 PRO
  • Olympus 17mm 1.7 or the Olympus 60mm 2.8
  • Think Tank Mirrorless MOver 30i
  • Extra batteries
  • Extra Memory card
  • Cleaning cloth
  • Gum and Burts Bees
  • Notepad and pen
  • iPad Pro with Apple Keyboard and Pencil

Olympus EM5mkii – I’ve had this camera body for a few years now and I love it. Not only is it a smart looking camera it’s fun to use and it gets the job done for me.

Olympus 12-40mm 2.8 PRO – I love to hate this lens. It’s a wonderful lens but I would love to carry only primes. This lens gets a pass because it is just such a wonderful lens. I’ve tried not carrying it but it always finds itself back in my bag.

Olympus 17mm 1.8 – This is my street photography lens. I don’t carry this lens with me all the time. If I know I will be in an urban setting then I grab this lens for the off chance I get to do some street shooting.

Olympus 60mm 2.8 – If I find myself on hikes or just out exploring in nature then the 60mm macro lens takes the place of my 17mm. This is a wonderful macro lens

iPad Pro – I have the 9.7” version that I use to edit photos when on the go. If I know I’m going to be home to edit then I leave the extra weight behind and just make due with my iPhone. But I love the iPad Pro when going on a long weekend or even for coffee shop editing.

Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 30i – This is a great bag. It holds two mirrorless camera bodies and 4-5 lenses, depending on the size of the lens. It has an iPad pocket and a front zip pocket to hold all the smaller goodies.

Notebook and Pen – I try to always keep a small notebook in my bag in case I need to sketch something. I have found for most note taking my iPhone is my go to but if I’m sketching an idea for a website I still like to have pen and paper.

Extra batteries, Memory Cards, and Cleaning Cloth – These are must have items every day. Always be prepared.

Gum and Burt’s Bees – I’m a gum addict. I almost always have a piece in my mouth, though I don’t always chew it. I have Burt’s Bees stuck everywhere because no on likes their lips to burn.
